They usually say “a man can dream” and also “a man must take necessary steps to make his dreams come true”. Life gives us reasons to doubt how much we are capable of doing. While some people will crumble, others will triumph. The young, handsome and multi-talented Wu Yifan has proven to be mentally strong and triumphant. On 6th of July, we can be fortunate to see him perform and share with us his energy of positivity.

Wu Yifan, who also goes by the name Chris Wu is a Chinese-Canadian singer, actor and model. Wu was once a member of the Korean-Chinese boy band “Exo”. His genres are C-Pop (Chinese Pop Music), K-Pop (Korean Pop Music), hip hop and R&B. The 28 year old was born on November 6, 1990 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China.
As an artist, Wu made his debut in April 2012 with group members of EXO, two months after he joined the group as its eleventh member.
EXO quickly rose to fame as one of the most popular K-Pop groups in South Korea and internationally. In 2013, they released their Studio album “XOXO” and their hit song “Growl”, which turned into an instant commercial success. Wu and EXO released the “Overdose” album in May 2014, best-selling album of 2014 in South Korea. He left EXO and SM Entertainment that same year.
As some people were born to shine, Wu’s departure from EXO and SM Entertainment was a blessing in disguise for his career. In July 2014, He released one of the soundtrack “Time Boils the Rain” for the Chinese box office hit “Tiny Times 3”. He was named “New Comer of the Year by Esquire China and also became the youngest celebrity to have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Shanghai. Wu took part in the 2016 NBA All- Star game playing for Team Canada and was also invited for the 2017 edition of the All-Star Game held in New Orleans. That same year, Wu represented China at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles. He was listed by Forbes in their “30 Under 30 Asia 2017”, a list comprising 30 influential people under 30 years who have made huge impact in their respective career fields. In October 2017, Wu released his single “Deserve” featuring U.S rapper Travis Scott which was instantly placed at No. 1 on the iTunes chart, making Wu the only Chinese artist to beget such an achievement.
In the beginning, I told you that they say a man can dream and a man must take the necessary steps to achieve his dreams. At the age of 28, Wu is already one of Asia’s biggest talents with so much style and personality. Let’s make Wu Yifan Macau Concert a date.
